Tonight I have the honor of showing my artwork at The Art of Giving event here in Longwood. It is exciting to know that the event itself is going to help Kids House of Seminole. From their “About Us” page:

Kids House takes a team approach in dealing with child abuse. This allows for all involved agencies and victims to come together at one single facility, working together on a complete investigation including case history, sharing information and ideas, carrying through to assist with prosecution and then determining the best course to provide mental health treatment and medical follow-up for the child and family.

Further trauma and distress is tremendously reduced for the child using this unique team approach. Agencies are able to work together effectively and efficiently. A more thorough investigation can be conducted by sharing information and resources. With everyone working together, a child is much less likely to be overlooked or have to suffer continued abuse. Children also receive follow-up care, opening up a path of help, healing and hope.

So glad to be a part of helping to raise awareness and support for these children.

I will be one of 10 local artists showing their work and maybe the only newbie. I love learning new things and people so … not toooo stressed or nervous. It will be fun.

It’s in a beautiful model home in one of the new developments up the road in Lake Mary. So if you can tell by the picture that includes most of the artwork, yes, those are tennis balls on the wall of the bedroom my work is being featured in.

And if you know anything about my life … I find that perfect canvas for my inaugural showing. ::: big smile :::

Trinity

"Trinity"

This is actually, probably, my favorite drawing to date. It took upwards of 50 hours and is on 18"x24" bristol board. And it is already sold. I named it Trinity because the cool flowing blues reminded me of The Father. The corded parts made me … [Continue reading]

Black Mountain Creek

IMG_0239

This is an Instagram photo of a creek in Black Mountain North Carolina. I took this picture last June. It reminds me of the creeks my brother Jimmy and I would play in while growing up in Tennessee. Well, except those creeks were well in the woods … [Continue reading]
